Program Description

Who can go? How much does it cost? The Nantes Program is an intense 10-week summer immersion French language and culture program. Students live in university dorms with other French students, take classes five days a week, may participate in service learning activities with local organizations, and participate in various academic visits to outstanding cultural sites in France. This program meets the International Residence requirement for French & International Studies majors.

What's included?

The Nantes Summer Program is a comprehensive, all-services included semester abroad:
• Housing in the university dorms with local French students
• Weekly in-town and overnight cultural excursions
• Classes at the Université de Nantes with native speakers
• Twelve units of French
• Two meals a day
• Travel, housing and food during excursions

Who can go? How much does it cost?

Anyone! This program is offered exclusively by the Department of World Languages and Cultures to Cal Poly Humboldt students from all fields of study. This program is open to all levels, including students with no French knowledge. The Program is also open to and welcomes students from other universities and colleges from the State of California, out-of-state, and international students.The final price is still TBD, but similar Humboldt Faculty lead programs cost between $6,500-$7,500. This includes tuition for one semester's worth of classes, as well as housing, some meals and in-country travel. Scholarships and financial aid are generally applicable for summer study abroad programs.
