Jun Ou
Assistant Professor
My research principally centers on computational modeling and advanced data acquisition for a wide
range of applications, such as transport processes in industrial manufacturing processes, materials
processing, microstructure and properties, etc. I am also interested in interdisciplinary research, such as
materials engineering, computer science, and biophysics. Examples include prediction of mechanical
properties using machine learning methods, welding of metallic nanoparticles and bacterial interaction
with particles.
I love teaching in transport phenomena, computational methods, numerical modeling, materials science
and engineering, materials processes, etc.
