Our annual internship openings got announced today, I’m not sure if any Humboldt students are interested. The pay isn’t great, but it is a great area 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe with lots of recreational opportunities.
Vacancy Announcement Student Administrative Assistant
The Schatz Energy Research Center has an immediate opening for a Student Administrative Assistant. Hourly wage is $11.28-$13.06 per hour (appointments are normally made at the beginning of the salary range).
I am Glo Brown, the Activities Student Assistant for Sankofa House in Housing and Residence Life. I host an event called Melanin Monday. Melanin Monday serves as a way for students, staff, and faculty of color to come together in a public place and celebrate their melanin. This is a great opportunity for networking and self care. There is one Rangeland Management Trainee position offered at the Eureka office.
Two to three chosen student mentors will receive training and will work closely with faculty to mentor students in lower division ERE courses. The mentors will work about 0-10 hours a week with a maximum of 25 hours a month. Mentor stipend is $13 an hour.
Humboldt Energy Independence fund is hosting a workshop on Thursday 3/22 at 6 pm and Monday 3/26 at 2 pm in Library room 208 for Idea papers.
Syndonia Bret-Harte are seeking enthusiastic undergraduate researchers interested in summer field research in Alaska for two Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) positions in the Bret-Harte and Ruess labs at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
