Paid Summer Internships with San Francisco BCDC: Apply by April 25!
The San Francisco Bay Conservation & Development Commission (BCDC) is recruiting for its 10-week, paid, Summer Internship Program. The deadline to apply is April 25, 2021!
- BCDC Summer Internships: BCDC is hiring up to three (3) Student Assistants for its Summer Internship Program. This internship experience will give students opportunities to be actively engaged in acquiring skills, increasing knowledge, and being exposed to what careers in coastal zone research and management can entail. Interns will have meaningful engagement with industry-leading professionals, including BCDC Commissioners, local agencies, and community leaders, and become aware of the general principles and multifaceted approaches to coastal zone management. All of the interns will work on project(s) and efforts related to advancing the BCDC's Strategic Plan to Protect and enhance the San Francisco Bay. Undergraduate college students who are first generation and/or from diverse backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply for this opportunity to gain hands-on-experience with a small State agency focused on protecting and enhancing the San Francisco Bay. This is a great opportunity to work with the different divisions within BCDC (Long-Range Planning, Adapting to Rising Tides program, Oil Spill Program, GIS, Permits, Enforcement, etc.). The selected candidate will work on a research project, which will be a great addition to their resume and experience portfolio.
