Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2019
Experience required: completion of engineering fundamentals coursework
Location: Eureka, CA

What kind of work would I be doing?
- General design assistance (entry-level calculations and spreadsheets, equipment research and specification, etc.)
- Report preparation assistance
- Preparation of figures
- Assistance with QA/QC of data
- Construction inspection (soil compaction testing)
- Field data collection assistance
- General office assistance (filing, delivery of samples and equipment)
What are SHN’s minimum qualifications?
- Completion of engineering fundamentals coursework, in or entering your junior or senior year of a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Resources Engineering, or similar field from accredited university or college
- U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Valid California driver's license by hire date
Are there preferred qualifications?
- Engineering in Training (EIT) certification
- Strong computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite
