The COSTEP application process for internships for the summer of 2018 is now open.  The open window for students to begin the process by calling the Commissioned Corps Recruitment Call Center is September 1, 2017 through October 13, 2017.  Information about the COSTEP application process can be found here:  https://www.usphs.gov/apply/jrcostep.aspx

A few points of emphasis to relay to your recruiters and students on the application process:

-          Students must call the Corps Recruitment Call Center by October 13, 2017.  Any student that calls after that date will not be eligible for a COSTEP appointment.

-          DCCPR will provide deadlines for the student to mail in application materials after the initial call.

-          Any mailed correspondence from the student to DCCPR should be sent via certified mail with a delivery acceptance signature.  This will allow for better tracking of the application material.

-          In addition to the COSTEP application, students will also have to apply to an IHS HQ vacancy announcement that will be posted on USAjobs.gov.  This vacancy announcement  is still under development. Once it is completed we will be providing you with more information.
