The Learning Center, the Library, and the Latinx Center for Academic Excellence are offering a three-part SkillShop series on preparing for the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). There are still several seats left!  

 

Introduction to the GRE (Verbal Reasoning, Analytical Writing, & Quantitative Reasoning) 

Thinking about graduate school? Registered to take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE)? 

The GRE is a standardized test required by many graduate programs. Your GRE scores can play a role in admissions, fellowships, and financial aid.

In these workshops, you will:

  • Focus on test-taking basics and strategies
  • Practice and learn from one another
  • Connect with others taking the exam to form study groups and share resources

Students can choose which sessions to attend. Free for Humboldt students.  
 
Intro to the GRE Part I (Overview & Verbal Reasoning)

Intro to the GRE Part II (Analytical Writing & Student Panel)
This session includes a panel of Humboldt students who recently took the GRE (6:00 pm - 6:30 pm). Students will share tips and study strategies as well as answer questions. Snacks will be provided.
