Graduation Writing Proficiency Exam (GWPE) Prep SkillShop
All Humboldt undergraduates must pass the Graduation Writing Proficiency Exam (GWPE) to graduate. It is recommended that the exam be taken during students' junior year. Click here to learn about the GWPE and how to register.
The Prep Workshop:

In this interactive workshop, we will review the purpose, format, and scoring of the GWPE, and then practice strategies to help you perform your best on exam day.
The workshop is free for Humboldt students.
NOTE: The workshop does not include a full-length timed practice exam. After the workshop, you are encouraged to complete a timed exam on your own or in the Writing Studio and then meet with a Writing Studio Consultant for personalized feedback.
If you can't attend this workshop, you can come to the Writing Studio (Campus Events Field #2) to review for the exam. Drop in or make a Writing Studio appointment online.
