Humboldt Scholarships Available to ERE Students: Apply by Jan 31!

To:  All ERE Students

The ERE Department has a number of scholarships and awards for which the ERE faculty are involved in selecting recipients each year.  If you're interested in applying for any of the awards listed below, please complete the general application and the award-specific application through the Humboldt Scholarship link on your MyHumboldt portal (under the Quick Links on the Home tab, or under the Financial Matters tab), no later than January 31.

Alden Burrows Engineering Scholarship

Eligible candidates for the Alden Burrows Engineering scholarship will be Environmental Resources Engineering majors, participating members of the Humboldt Society of Women Engineers (SWE) student section or similar organizations, and will demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA application.

Supplemental Question in the Application:
Are you a participating member of the Humboldt Society of Women Engineers (SWE) student section or a similar organization?

Marion Diller Scholarship

Awarded to an ERE student who plans to work in sustainability. Must have successfully completed ENGR 326 or equivalent. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Awards and amounts are subject to change upon availability.

Supplemental Question in the Application:
Please submit an essay explaining how you have demonstrated outstanding contribution or community service in the area of sustainable and just use of natural resources, e.g. energy efficiency, energy conservation, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, recycling or waste reduction.

Robert and Suzanne Wienke Scholarship

Awarded to a junior or senior level student majoring in ERE. Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA application. Awards and amounts are based on estimates and applicable to change.

Supplemental Question in the Application:
Explain your plans to work in the public service or non-profit sector.

Robert W. Campbell, Sr., Scholarship

Awarded to one or more ERE or NURS students who have demonstrated commitment to the program.  A minimum GPA of 2.0 and financial need, as determined by the FAFSA application, are required.  Preference will be given to student-athletes participating in any intercollegiate sport offered by Humboldt.

Have you participated in intercollegiate athletics?
