Northwest Hydraulic Consultants (NHC) is an international firm of consulting civil engineers and geoscientists providing specialist services for the development, management, and protection of water resources.

We are offering a paid internship for summer 2019 in our Seattle office. We are seeking an upper level college or graduate student in civil engineering, geology or a related field with a strong interest in water resources. Anticipated tasks include GIS-based hydraulic model development, historical project data management, and likely opportunities to assist with field work and in our hydraulic modeling lab.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, with the ability to solve engineering problems and to work both individually and collaboratively on project teams.

Preferred qualifications include class work and/or related experience and abilities in hydrology, hydraulics, and ArcGIS analysis and mapping. Previous experience with HEC-RAS modeling is highly desirable. Intern is expected to be available for at least two months (and preferably three) during the period from May through September.
