MATTHEW G. KENNEDY, P.E., T.E., ENV SP, M.ASCE REGION 9 GOVERNOR FOR SAN FRANCISCO SECTION

Matthew G. Kennedy, P.E., T.E., ENV SP, M.ASCE, has 15 years of experience in the design and management of a variety of infrastructure projects including water, wastewater and storm water conveyance, LID, sites, earthwork, pedestrian/ADA, bicycle, highway/roadway, traffic, and building projects. Matt is the Region 9 Governor for the San Francisco Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and was elected in July 2016 to a three-year term beginning in October 2016

Matt has been a member with ASCE since 1998. He has served in a wide range of ASCE positions from treasurer to president for the San Francisco Section as well as the North Coast Branch.
Outside of ASCE, Matt is a member of the American Water Works Association, the Society of American Military Engineers and the American Homebrewers Association.

Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Resources Engineering from Cal Poly Humboldt and a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has worked for GHD Inc. since 2001. He is a licensed Civil Engineer in California, Oregon, Nevada, New Mexico, and Guam. And he is also a licensed Traffic Engineer in California.
