California NRCS is anticipating an upcoming Vacancy Announcement for our 2018 Pathways Internship program on October 31st. Pathways is NRCS’ paid internship program that consists of a minimum of 640 hours of on the job training in an NRCS field, area, or state office in engineering and other disciplines.

The HACU National Internship Program (HNIP) assists students by placing them in corporate and government internships across the country. These internships are closely related to the student’s academic background and/or career goals. The program provides airfare, housing arrangements, and a weekly stipend of $550 or $620. The City of Susanville Public Works Department is considering internships and/or part time positions at a technician level for the coming year. No positions have been approved by City Council to date but we would like a sense of the level interest regionally and availability of interested students or graduates.
