The annual INRSEP/CNRS Undergraduate Scientific Research Symposium event is scheduled for Friday, October 4th on the second floor of the University Library from 12 noon-4 pm. The symposium consists of two components, a poster session and oral presentations. Registration

The Society of Women Engineers is putting on their annual Engineering Day on Saturday Sept. 21st at the North Country Fair in downtown Arcata and Sunday Sept. 22nd in the Arcata Library Rec Room.
The Institute for Broadening Participation (IBP) is hosting mulptile scholarships on their web-site. With 30+ Undergraduate Scholarships, 40+ Masters Graduate Funding, and 40+ Ph.D Graduate Funding oprotunities in STEM areas, there are opprotunities for every STEM student.
Up to three positions are now available at SERC for SRAs (Student Research Assistants). Students should be in their 1st or 2nd year in the ERE program.
5-10 hours a week, $14 per hour beginning October 1 to the end of the Fall 2019 semester.
Applications are due at 4:00 pm on Friday September 20, 2019.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2020 Ernest F. Holling Undergraduate Scholarship.
This scholarship provides two years of academic assistance (up to $9,500 each year) and a 10-week, full-time paid ($700/week) internship at a NOAA facility during the summer.

This Friday, September 6, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) student club is hosting a Tostada Bar to welcome everyone back to school. There will also be a piñata!
The event will take place in Science D, Room 5, at 5:00pm. Everyone is welcome, so don't hesitate to come and find out what SHPE is about!
