Help us Celebrate our Sustainability Champions!
Humboldt is accepting nominations for its fourth annual Sustainability Champion Awards program, to recognize individuals whose practices have deepened a culture of sustainability, have furthered the integration of sustainability into academics, student life or campus culture, and/or reduced Humboldt’s environmental footprint. Complete the nomination form by Friday, April 17, 2020 to nominate a student, staff or faculty member for an award. Winners and their nominators will be notified on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, 2020.
The award is open to students, staff and faculty who have worked to advance sustainability. Self-nominations are accepted. Any student is eligible; however, those faculty and staff members with sustainability in their job title, or as an obligatory aspect of their job, are not eligible for the award.
The Award Selection Committee will choose up to three candidates who embody the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and leadership as they work to establish solutions to pressing challenges facing the campus and society. Each Sustainability Champion will receive a Sustainability Champion trophy and a feature profile in campus publications and announcements.
