Watershed Restoration Field Course (ESM 480), 1 unit
August 17-21, 2020
ESM 480 is a field-based course that focuses on many aspects of ecological watershed restoration while camping for one week in the beautiful Mattole Valley. Students will visit multiple restoration sites with nonprofit restoration practitioners as well as agency staff. This course provides a unique opportunity to network with restoration professionals while obtaining hands-on experience. It is a great chance to boost your resume, connect your classroom-based education to the real world, and meet some of the people active in Humboldt’s restoration industry.
The field course has been tentatively rescheduled to take place August17-21, 2020, pending the lifting of COVID-19 safety restrictions. Final determination as to whether or not it will run will be made in July, at which time student fees ($500) will be due. If interested, please contact Flora@mattole.org ASAP to be placed to the MRC's registration list, and she will contact you in July. See attached flyer.
